Our Build Process

At Wandering Tiny Homes, we believe that a great home starts with a strong foundation—structurally and in our standards. Our commitment to craftsmanship, innovative techniques, and high-quality materials ensures each tiny house is built to last, standing strong against the test of time and nature’s challenges.

We adhere to rigorous building codes and inspections to guarantee safety, durability, and energy efficiency. Whether constructing a Tiny Home on Wheels or Skid, our builds meet industry-leading standards and undergo thorough third-party inspections to ensure compliance. Some of these key standards include:

  • IRC (International Residential Code) – Governs structural and safety standards.

  • NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) – Covers fire safety requirements.

  • NEC (National Electrical Code) – Ensures proper electrical installations.

  • IECC (International Energy Conservation Code) – Sets energy efficiency guidelines.

  • ANSI 119.5 – Applies to Park Model RVs.

  • NHTSA (National Highway & Transportation Safety Administration) – Regulates safety for Park Models and Tiny Homes on Wheels (THOWs).

In addition to meeting national codes, we have developed a multi-stage Quality Assurance Program to meticulously inspect and verify every phase of the build, ensuring that each home is constructed with precision and care. Our third-party engineering and inspection partners oversee every detail to provide homeowners with confidence in the safety and longevity of their tiny home.

Whether you’re looking for a permanent residence or a mobile living solution, Wandering Tiny Homes is dedicated to delivering homes built with integrity, innovation, and lasting quality.
